So, I had this random amount of Euros, 194 to be exact, left over from my last trip. I needed to get that changed into US dollars, and honestly, I was kinda dreading it. Airport exchange rates are usually awful, and I didn’t want to get ripped off.

First thing I did was pull out my phone and check the current exchange rate, you know, just to get a ballpark figure. I used online website, and it gave me the “official” rate. It made it so easy.
My Conversion Journey
Next, I started looking into my options:
- Airport Kiosks: Super convenient, but I knew the rates would be terrible. I decided to skip these unless absolutely necessary.
- My Bank: I gave my local branch a call. They did offer currency exchange, but with some fees, and the rate wasn’t amazing. It was okay, but I felt like I could do better.
- Exchange them online?:There has so much way I can do that, search online, search on * I am so busy that I do not want to waste time.
Then my friend mentioned a website, I have never use them, but I decided to give it a shot.
I put in 194 Euros, and the website showed me what I’d get in US dollars after their fee. It was way better than my bank, so I decided to go for it. I had to create an account, link my bank account, and confirm the transaction. Pretty standard stuff, really.
The money showed up in my US account in a day! It was way easier than I expected, and I definitely felt like I got a decent deal. No shady back-alley money changers for me!
I finally got around to converting that 194 EUR, and thanks to online searching, it ended up being a pretty smooth process.
