Okay, here’s a blog post about getting and using Afterglow Coral in Wuthering Waves, written in the style you described:
So, I’ve been grinding away at Wuthering Waves lately, trying to power up my Resonators, you know how it is. One of the things you need for breakthroughs is this stuff called Violet Coral. Easy enough to find, right? Just gotta grab it from the shallow waters around Norfall Barrens and Wuming Bay. I went there and spent some time collecting them all. It was quite a relaxing experience.
But then there’s this other thing, Afterglow Coral, also called Aftershock Coral. I was like, “Wait, what’s this now?” Turns out, you don’t find this stuff lying around. You get Afterglow Corals whenever you pull 4-star or 5-star Resonators and Weapons. In other words, you gotta use the gacha system, the “Convene” thing, and hope you get lucky.
At first, I was just collecting these Afterglow Corals without really knowing what they were for. Then I found out you can trade them in for some pretty sweet stuff at the store. I was looking at the exchange rates, and man, it’s not cheap! You need 360 Aftershock Corals to get a limited 5-star Resonator. That’s like, 120 pulls of 4-star stuff!
I started thinking about what’s the best way to spend these Corals. Here’s what I figured out after messing around a bit:
- Radiant Tides: These are super important. You use them to try and get the limited-time 5-star Resonators. Each one costs 8 Afterglow Corals, so you need a bunch. If you’re aiming for those top-tier characters, this is where you wanna spend your Corals.
- Other things like the “Radiant Tide” are helpful, but maybe not as big of a deal. It really depends on what you’re going for.
So, the game plan is this: Collect Violet Coral from the shallow waters, use them for Resonator breakthroughs. Pull on banners when you can, and get those Afterglow Corals. Then, be smart about how you spend those Afterglow Corals. For me, it’s all about those Radiant Tides to get the limited 5-star Resonators. I heard that some players can get the limited 5-star Resonators in this way. I haven’t gotten one yet, but I am not losing hope.
It’s a grind, but hey, that’s gacha games for you. You gotta put in the time if you want the good stuff. Keep on grinding, and hopefully, we’ll all get those Resonators we’re after! If you had the same experience as me, please share in the comments, I would love to hear about it!
