Alright, so, today I decided to make something to remember Tiger Woods, yeah, the golfer. It’s for the 2024 Memorial, and let me tell you, it turned into a whole project.
First, I grabbed my laptop and started searching about this Memorial Tournament thing. Turns out, Tiger has won it like a bunch of times, but funnily enough, he can’t participate this year. It’s a bummer, right? Anyways, I wanted to make something cool for it, so I kept digging.
Then I stumbled upon this URL decoder tool. Don’t ask me why, but I got distracted and spent a good chunk of time just decoding random stuff. I pasted different URLs, clicked “decode,” and watched as the gibberish turned into readable text. No idea why it was so fun, but there you have it.
- I typed in the text box.
- I pasted some codes.
- I clicked “decode”.
- I watched the letters changed.
After that, I moved on to something called Tiger LNB 2 Outputs. No clue what it is, but it looked technical. There were images of cables, and I even saw an RCA cable which I haven’t touched in like ages. I added it to my “wish list” even though I have no plans of buying it. I guess I just like collecting random virtual stuff.
Next, I tried out an online algebra solver. I’m terrible at math, so I thought this would be a good time to brush up. I entered some equations, hit “solve,” and bam! There were the answers with all the steps. I didn’t understand half of it, but it felt good to pretend I did.
I also attempted to log into Squarespace. I don’t even have a website, but I just wanted to see if I could remember my password. Nope, failed miserably. Guess I’ll have to reset it later.
Found a bunch of weird characters online too, like these: ┪, ┫, ┬, ┭. I copied and pasted them everywhere just to see how they’d look. My messages looked like I was trying to summon some ancient spirit or something.
Then there was this sports stats page. I sorted the table by some rate stat – no idea what that is – and all the non-qualified players disappeared. I read the explanation, but it still didn’t make much sense. Sports stats are way too complicated for me.
I also checked out some forum stats. Apparently, there are over 100,000 posts. I wondered who has that much time on their hands to write so much. I mean, the most online at once was over 7,000! That’s wild.
Oh, and I learned that Tiger uses an Onyx cue tip for his Pro Shaft. Again, no idea what that means, but it sounds fancy. I tried to test my typing speed using some online tool that gives you random clues. My accuracy was terrible, but at least it was a fun distraction.
So yeah, that was my day. A whole lot of random stuff all inspired by Tiger Woods and this 2024 Memorial Tournament. I didn’t end up making anything specific, but I sure did explore a bunch of weird corners of the internet.
What a day!
Maybe tomorrow I’ll actually create something, but for now, I’m happy with my random adventure. See you later and don’t forget to bring me a cup of coffee!
