Okay, so, a while back, I got this wild idea. I’ve always been a huge fan of Ice Cube. I mean, who isn’t, right? And I also love collecting unique hats. So, I thought, why not combine these two loves? That’s how I started making what I call “Ice Cube hats.”
First, I started to look up all sorts of hats online. I’m talking baseball caps, beanies, snapbacks, you name it. The idea was to find hats that had some sort of connection to Ice Cube. Like, I found a bunch of Los Angeles Raiders hats because, you know, Ice Cube is always rocking those.
Then, the real fun began. I started buying a bunch of these hats. I was hitting up online stores, local shops, even some custom hat places. I was on a mission, man. My living room slowly turned into a hat warehouse. Hats everywhere! I was like a kid in a candy store, but with hats. Seriously, my friends thought I was nuts, but I didn’t care. I was having a blast.
After I had a decent collection, I decided to organize them. I categorized them by style and by how they related to Ice Cube. Some were just cool hats that reminded me of his style, others were more directly related, like the Raiders ones. I even found some with his lyrics on them! I was so pumped about those.
- Baseball Caps: These were the easiest to find. I got a bunch with different logos, but the Raiders ones were my favorite.
- Beanies: Perfect for the colder weather. I found some with cool designs and some plain ones that I thought Ice Cube would wear.
- Snapbacks: These were a bit harder to find in the styles I wanted, but I managed to snag a few really cool ones.
Then came the hard part, what to do with all these hats. I thought about selling them, but they were like my babies. I couldn’t just give them away. So, I decided to just keep them. I use them to decorate my home office. It’s like a shrine to Ice Cube, haha.
My friends still think I’m crazy, but they also think it’s pretty cool. Every time they come over, they always check out the latest additions to my collection. And honestly, it’s a great conversation starter. Plus, it makes me happy. I get to look at these hats every day and think about one of my favorite artists.
