Man, today I stepped on the scale, and it read 83.9 kg. Gotta say, it’s been a journey to get here. I remember when I first started, I was way heavier. It was a real struggle, you know? But I was determined to shed some pounds.
First thing I did was change up my diet. I started eating more fruits and veggies – at least five servings a day. Sounds like a lot, but you get used to it. Then, I switched to whole grains whenever I could. Bread, pasta, rice – all whole grain. Oh, and dairy! I still had my milk and yogurt, but I made sure they were low-fat and low-sugar. Cutting out sugary drinks was tough, but totally worth it.
Next up, exercise. I started hitting the gym, doing cardio mostly. Running on the treadmill, using the elliptical, you name it. It was a grind, and honestly, there were days I just didn’t feel like it.
But I kept pushing myself.
I started slow, just a few minutes each day, and gradually increased the time and intensity. I also started using weights. I read somewhere that you should pick a weight that’s right for your fitness level. So, I started with lighter weights and worked my way up. No point in injuring myself, right?
Then, I wanted to keep track of my progress. I used an online converter to switch between kilograms and pounds, which helped me see how much I was actually losing. I even calculated my weight loss percentage, it was pretty motivating to see the numbers go down.
