Okay, so today I wanted to talk about this guy, Jimmy Kirchdorfer. I got curious about him and did some digging.
First off, I went online and started searching. It turns out this Jimmy guy, his full name is James Kirchdorfer, Jr., and he’s a big shot at a company called ISCO Industries. He’s the chairman and CEO, which, you know, is pretty high up there.
Then I learned that before he became the CEO, he was the president for like, 10 years. This guy’s been around the block at ISCO, for sure.
Next, I dug into the history of the company. ISCO Industries has been around since 1962. It used to be called “Irrigation Supply Company.” Sounds pretty straightforward, right? And get this, it was started by Jimmy’s dad, Jim Kirchdorfer, Sr., in the same place where his grandfather had a hardware store in Louisville. It is like a family tradition or something.
So, I put all these pieces together. Jimmy Kirchdorfer is running this company that his dad started, which has roots going back to his grandfather’s hardware store. That’s some family business legacy right there. He started from the president and climbed all the way up to be the Chairman and CEO. I guess he did a good job.
I thought it was a pretty cool story to share. It is not every day you see a family business story that goes back so many years.
Anyway, that is all I have got on Jimmy Kirchdorfer and ISCO Industries for now. I might dig deeper into this later, but for now, it is pretty interesting stuff.
