Okay, so I was messing around online the other day, and I got curious about when this dude JasonR joined FaZe Clan. I’m not a huge esports guy, but I know FaZe is big, and I’ve seen JasonR’s name around, so I decided to dig a little.
First, I just did a basic search for “when did jason join faze” and checked out some of the stuff that popped up. A few articles mentioned that he joined up with FaZe to get into the VALORANT scene. I know VALORANT is that tactical shooter game, right? So, that made sense. Seems like FaZe wanted to make a splash in the game, and they picked up JasonR to help them do it.
Then things get a bit more specific.
I saw a couple of tweets from FaZe Clan’s official account from back in June 2020. They announced Jason “jasonR” Ruchelski and some other guy named Corey as the first two players for their VALORANT team. Turns out, JasonR was known for playing CS:GO, that other shooter game, and he was also a popular streamer on Twitch. That’s probably why FaZe wanted him – he’s got skills and a following.
