So, I started playing Baldur’s Gate 3 the other day, right? It’s been a wild ride. I was cruising through Act 2, feeling pretty good about myself. I had Jaheira in my party, and we were doing our thing, exploring, fighting, you know, the usual adventurer stuff.
Then came the time to hit up the Last Light Inn. I’d heard things about this place, mostly good. Figured it’d be a nice spot to rest up, maybe get some new quests. But man, was I in for a surprise. This place, it’s like a magnet for trouble. We barely stepped inside when all hell broke loose. There was this massive attack, chaos everywhere. Jaheira, being the tough cookie she is, jumped right into the fray.
I tried my best to keep her safe, casting spells, strategically placing my party members, and all. But she just kept rushing in, fearless, almost reckless, she was always rushing ahead. In the heat of battle, she just suddenly dropped. Dead, gone just like that. It happened so fast. I was just standing there, shocked. I couldn’t even process what went down.
And the worst part? I couldn’t bring her back. No revives, no magic tricks, nothing. She was just… gone. I tried reloading an earlier save, thinking maybe I could change things, do something different to save her. But nope, same result every time. It was frustrating, to say the least. It felt like no matter what I did, she was determined to die in that damn inn, and also one time I put sanctuary on her but she still didn’t listen to me and charge ahead!

Act 2 Journey
Explored the world, completed some quests, and made my way to the Last Light Inn.

The Attack
The inn was suddenly attacked, and a major battle ensued.

Jaheira’s Fate
Despite my efforts, Jaheira was killed during the fight and couldn’t be revived. Also tried to reload save many times.
Later on, I stumbled upon my camp, and guess what? There she was, lying on the ground, still dead. It was like the game was rubbing it in. None of my companions even batted an eye. It was as if they were all used to seeing their friends just randomly drop dead. And I found her dead in my camp, what a bad day!
I did some digging online, trying to figure out if this was normal, if I’d messed up somewhere. Turns out, Jaheira is a bit notorious for dying in the game. Some folks even mentioned she could bite the dust later on because of some spy stuff and a dude named Gortash. Crazy, right? It’s not just me then, some guy said she has sucked in all games lol.
So, yeah, that’s my Baldur’s Gate 3 story for you. Jaheira died, and there was nothing I could do about it. It’s a bit of a bummer, but hey, it’s all part of the game, I guess. Makes for a good story, at least. I mean, now I have completed her questline in Act Three to save Minsc and you do not kill the Nightsong, but still sad about it.
