Okay, so I’ve been seeing this name, Brock Purdy, all over the place lately. You know, the 49ers quarterback? Well, it turns out he’s got a younger brother, Chubba Purdy, who’s also a football player. I got curious and decided to do a little digging.
First, I opened up my browser and typed “Chubba Purdy” into the search bar. A bunch of articles and profiles popped up. I clicked on a few of them to get a general overview.
Learned that Chubba is a quarterback, just like his older brother. He’s currently playing for Nebraska. He started his college career at Florida State, though. Seemed like he was a pretty big deal coming out of high school, a four-star recruit and all that.
Next, I wanted to see some actual footage of him playing. So, I headed over to a popular video-sharing site. I searched for “Chubba Purdy highlights” and found a ton of videos.
I watched a few of them. He’s definitely got a strong arm. And he seems pretty mobile, too, able to scramble and make plays with his legs. Looked like a decent player to me.
- Scoured some sports forums and comment sections to see what people were saying about him.
- Found mixed opinions, some folks are really high on him, others not so much.
- Compared the comments to what I had already read on him and watched him play.
- Decided that he seemed to have some talent.
After that, I wanted to know more about his stats. I went back to my search results and found his official college football profile. It had all his stats from his time at Florida State and Nebraska.
Took a good look at his numbers. They weren’t exactly eye-popping, to be honest. But, he hasn’t really had a ton of playing time yet. Still, you can see he improved from his time at Florida State when he was at Nebraska.
Finally, I decided to see if he was on any social media. I found his profiles and scrolled through them for a bit. Mostly just football stuff, which was expected. Got a sense of his personality, though. Seems like a pretty grounded kid. He even posted a funny picture of him when he was younger playing football.
So, that was my little dive into Chubba Purdy. It was interesting to learn more about him and see how he’s doing. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in the future, I think. We’ll see if he can follow in his brother’s footsteps and make it big!
