Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this Aventurine character in Honkai: Star Rail, trying to figure out the best way to level up his traces. Let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey, but I think I’ve finally cracked the code. I started out all gung-ho, just dumping resources into whatever trace seemed cool at the moment. Big mistake. Ended up with a weird, uneven build that didn’t really do much.
Then I got serious and started doing some digging. Turns out, there’s a whole science to this trace priority thing. You see, Aventurine’s all about those follow-up attacks and shields, so you gotta focus on the traces that boost those aspects first. That’s when I hit the books, or rather, the internet forums and guide videos. I spent hours sifting through all sorts of information, comparing different players’ experiences and recommendations.
Here’s what I figured out after all that research and my own trial and error:
- Ultimate: This bad boy is your bread and butter. It gives you a random amount of “Blind Bet” points and deals a good chunk of Imaginary damage. Plus, it makes enemies take more damage from your crits for a few turns. So, maxing this out first makes a huge difference in your overall damage output. Initially, I didn’t realize how much this ultimate could boost my team’s damage, but trust me, it’s a game-changer. I started prioritizing it, and boy, did I see the difference.
- Talent: This is where things get interesting. Aventurine’s talent gives him a shield called “Fortified Wager” at the start of each battle. And this shield stacks! Every time you use a basic attack or skill, you increase his “Blind Bet” points. Once he has 7 points he will launch a 7 hit follow up attack against the enemy. Each hit of the follow-up attack also gives your whole team a shield. After I started leveling this up, I noticed Aventurine was surviving way longer, and so was my team.
- Skill: His skill gives your whole team a shield. And it can stack with the shield from his talent. This is really good for keeping your team alive. This was one of the last things I focused on, but it really helped in those tougher battles where enemies hit hard.
- Basic ATK: Honestly, you won’t be using this much. It’s just a single-target Imaginary damage attack. Leave this for last. I barely touched this one until everything else was maxed, and it didn’t really impact my gameplay much.
Putting it All Together
So, after figuring out the priority, I started strategically allocating my resources. I pumped everything into the ultimate first, then focused on the talent, followed by the skill, and lastly the basic attack. It took some time, and I had to farm a bunch of materials, but let me tell you, it was worth it. My Aventurine is now an absolute beast. He’s dishing out tons of damage, his follow-up attacks are wrecking enemies, and his shields are keeping my team safe and sound. I went from struggling in some battles to breezing through them. It’s like I unlocked his true potential.
I even went back and replayed some of the content I had trouble with before, just to see the difference. And man, it was night and day. Before, I was barely scraping by, but now I was crushing it. I felt like a genius, even though I just followed some advice I found online. But hey, that’s what learning and experimenting is all about, right?
I had to share this, hope it helps someone who want to use this character.
