Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a Finn Balor tattoo for a while now. I’m a huge wrestling fan, and Finn’s just… well, he’s the coolest. His demon persona is so visually striking, I knew I had to get it inked on me. I spent a good few weeks scouring the internet for inspiration, looking at other people’s Finn Balor tattoos, and trying to figure out exactly what I wanted. There are so many different takes on his demon look, you know?
I finally settled on a design that I really liked, a more abstract take on the demon face paint, focusing on the eyes and the sharp teeth. I booked an appointment with my usual tattoo artist, Sarah. She’s amazing, does really clean work, and I trust her completely. I showed her the design, and we talked through the placement and size. We decided on my upper arm, big enough to capture the detail but not too overwhelming.
The Big Day
The day of the appointment finally arrived. I was a little nervous, not gonna lie. It’s a big tattoo, and I knew it was going to be a long session. Sarah prepped the area, shaved the hair off, and applied the stencil. We double-checked the placement, made sure it was perfect. Then, it was go time.
The buzzing of the tattoo machine started, and I braced myself. The first few lines were a bit of a shock, but I got used to the sensation pretty quickly. It wasn’t unbearable, more like a constant scratching feeling. We took breaks every now and then, gave my skin a rest. Sarah was super chill, and we chatted about wrestling and life in general to pass the time.
Pain and Progress
- The outlining took the longest.
- The shading was surprisingly less painful.
- Sarah’s attention to detail was incredible.
After about four hours, we were finally done. Sarah cleaned the tattoo, wrapped it up, and gave me aftercare instructions. I looked in the mirror and was absolutely blown away. It was even better than I had imagined! The lines were sharp, the shading was perfect, and it really captured the essence of Finn Balor’s demon.
The healing process was pretty straightforward. I followed Sarah’s instructions to the letter, keeping it clean and moisturized. There was some scabbing and itching, but nothing too bad. Now, a few weeks later, it’s fully healed and looks incredible. I’m so happy with it, and I get compliments on it all the time. It’s definitely one of my favorite tattoos, and a great tribute to one of my favorite wrestlers. The whole experience was awesome! I absolutely recommend doing your research, and pick a tattoo artist you like.
