Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the NFL draft scene lately, specifically for the Steelers. It’s that time of year again, and I wanted to try my hand at a mock draft. I’m no expert, but it’s fun to play GM for a bit, right?
First, I started by looking at the Steelers’ current roster. I mean, you gotta know what you have before you can figure out what you need. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through the depth chart, making notes about positions that seemed a little thin.
Then, I moved onto researching potential draft picks. There are so many mock drafts and player profiles out there, it’s almost overwhelming! I focused on positions like offensive tackle, cornerback, and maybe a wide receiver, because those seemed to be the areas the Steelers could use some help.
I used a mock draft * are a lot simulator that can simulate,It’s lets you run through the draft, making picks for the Steelers (and all the other teams, if you want). It’s kinda like a video game, but with real player names and stats.
My Mock Draft Process
- Round 1: This is the big one. I was really hoping for a top-tier offensive tackle to fall to the * a few tries on the * I got it!
- Round 2: I went with a cornerback here. You can never have too many good corners in today’s NFL.
- Round 3 and Beyond: I tried to balance addressing needs with grabbing the “best player available.” It’s a tough balancing act! I added some depth at wide receiver and inside linebacker.
It’s all just speculation, of course. The actual draft is always full of surprises. But it was a fun exercise to go through, and it got me even more hyped for the real thing.I have tried many simulations, and find the intersting and fun about it. I’m feeling pretty good about the direction I went, at least in this simulated world!
