Okay, so today I wanted to dig into the Dodgers vs. Phillies game and really look at the player stats. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and today I finally got around to it.
First, I fired up my computer and opened my browser. You know, the usual starting point for any kind of online investigation.
Finding the Stats
I started by figuring where the best data are. I tried a couple of different search terms until I got what I needed. It took a little bit of fiddling to get the exact search query right.
Getting into the Data
Once I had the stats page open, I started really looking at the numbers. I mean, that’s the whole point, right? To see who’s performing well and who’s maybe having an off day.
I scrolled through batting averages, RBIs, home runs… the whole nine yards. Then I switched over to pitching and checked out ERAs, strikeouts, and all that good stuff. I spent a good chunk of time just absorbing all the information, making mental notes of the standout players.
Putting It All Together
- I noticed some interesting trends.
- I compared some players’ stats directly.
- I thought about writing some of these down for doing some comparisions tomrrow.
Honestly, it was pretty satisfying to just dive into the raw data and see what I could find. It’s like being a detective, but instead of solving crimes, you’re uncovering the story of the game through numbers.
It might be a bit nerdy, but hey, I enjoyed it!
