Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “Genshin Food Quiz” things floating around, and I thought, “Hey, I play a ton of Genshin, I should be a pro at this!” Spoiler alert: I wasn’t as good as I thought, but it was still fun to mess around with. So here’s how it went down.

First, I dug around online to find one of these quizzes. There are a bunch out there, so I just picked one that looked decent. No fancy requirements, just a straight-up quiz.
Getting Started
The quiz I found was pretty basic. It showed pictures of different dishes from the game, and you had to pick the right name from a few options. Sounds easy, right? Well…
- Some of the pictures were kinda small, and honestly, a lot of the food in Genshin looks pretty similar. I mean, how many variations of stir-fry can one game have?
- I definitely second-guessed myself a few times. Like, “Is that really Jade Parcels, or is it something else…?”
My “Expert” Performance
I started off pretty confident. I recognized some of the classics right away – things like Adeptus’ Temptation and Golden Crab. I was feeling pretty good, like, “Yeah, I am a Genshin food expert!”
But then… things got a little trickier. There were a few dishes I’d honestly never even made in the game before. And some of them, I swear I’d cooked, but I just couldn’t remember the names for the life of me.
The Results (and a Little Humility)
I won’t lie, I didn’t ace the quiz. I think I got around a 70%? Which, you know, isn’t terrible, but it’s definitely not “expert” level. It was a fun little reality check, though. Turns out, I spend more time smacking hilichurls than I do paying attention to the finer details of Teyvat cuisine.
It was a fun way to kill some time, and it actually made me want to pay more attention to the food in the game. Maybe I’ll even try to cook all the recipes at least once! Or, you know, maybe I’ll just stick to eating whatever Paimon tells me to. Either way, it was a good time.
