Okay, so I’ve been messing around with NBA mascots lately, and it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to create something, you know, just for fun. So, I started by listing out all the NBA teams. I mean, that’s the obvious first step, right?

Getting Started with NBA teams
I grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down all the team names I could remember. Then, I double-checked it online to make sure I didn’t miss any. Turns out, my memory is pretty good! I only missed a couple.
Find Mascot for Every NBA team
Next, I dug into finding out each team’s mascot. This was way more fun than I expected!
Some of them are super obvious, like Benny the Bull for the Chicago Bulls.
- Benny the Bull (Chicago Bulls) – Classic!
- Lucky the Leprechaun (Boston Celtics) – Of course!
- …and so on…
But some were a little trickier. Like, did you know the Miami Heat’s mascot is called Burnie?
It is a big, orange fireball, So the process I keep looking up,and writing down.
Realizing the variety
As I went through this, I realized just how diverse and creative these mascots are. You’ve got animals, mythical creatures, and even just… weird, cool things. It really shows the personality of each team and city, I guess.

Finally, I got them all
After a good amount of searching and compiling, I finally had a complete list.
Every NBA team, and their corresponding mascot. It felt good to see it all laid out.
So yeah, that’s my little mascot project.
