Alright, so I’ve been diving into this whole “worst NBA player ever” rabbit hole, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started off just kinda curious, you know? Like, who is actually considered the worst?
First, I hit up Google. Just a basic search, nothing fancy. I typed in “worst NBA player ever” and, boom, tons of articles and forums popped up. Lots of names were thrown around, Sun Yue, and some other people I never heard about before. It was overwhelming, honestly. I was thinking how can I find the truth? It is really diffcult.
So, I decided I needed a better way to, like, filter all this info. I started looking at player stats. Things like points per game, shooting percentages, turnovers… all that stuff. I figured, the numbers don’t lie, right?
I spent a good few hours just going through Basketball-Reference, which is my go-to site. I compared players who had really short careers, low scoring averages, and, uh, pretty bad shooting percentages. I even looked at plus/minus, which is supposed to show a player’s impact on the game.
I even looked at how many minutes a player played in games. I mean, if you’re only getting a few minutes a game, it’s gotta say something, right?.
Then I went to Youtube and started to watch some old games. I found some lowlights, and man, some of these guys… it was rough. Missed shots, turnovers, just… not great. But, you know, even the “worst” NBA player is still way better than, like, 99.9% of the population at basketball. I had to keep reminding myself of that!
My Conclusion (for now!)
After all this searching, I still can’t say for sure who the absolute worst player is. It’s really tough to pick just one! There’s a lot of guys who played a few games, didn’t do much, and then, poof, they were gone. They might be the worst, the data and video shows that. It is still diffcult to tell who is the worst, I will keep looking for it.
