Okay, so today I decided to tackle something I’ve been putting off: actually finishing a crossword puzzle. And, like, really finishing it, not just doing a few clues and then getting distracted. The one I picked was kinda tough, it’s theme was “And Don’t Forget,” so lots of phrases with missing bits, you know?

I started by grabbing a pen – a real pen, not a pencil, because I was feeling bold. Then I brewed some coffee, because, essentials. I settled down at the kitchen table, spread out the newspaper (yes, a real newspaper!), and got to work.
First, I scanned the clues, looking for the easy ones. You know, the ones that are like, three letters, and you just know the answer. “Opposite of black?” Boom, “WHITE.” I filled in a few of those, feeling pretty good about myself.
Then things got trickier. There were a bunch of clues that referenced other clues, like, “See 17 Across,” or “With 42 Down.” That’s when I started to get a little flustered. I had to keep flipping back and forth, trying to piece things together.
The Hard Part
- Some of the “And Don’t Forget” clues were super vague. Like, what even IS that supposed to mean?
- There was one clue about some obscure historical figure. Seriously, who knows that stuff off the top of their head?
- I spent, like, 20 minutes stuck on one corner of the puzzle. It was brutal.
I took a break, refilled my coffee, and ate a cookie. Gotta keep those energy levels up, right? When I came back, I decided to try a different approach. Instead of going in order, I just picked clues at random. I also Used online crossword solver,输入提示和已知字母,so I can solve some of the clue.
And you know what? It worked! Slowly but surely, I started to fill in more and more of the grid. It was like a snowball effect – the more I got, the easier it became to get the rest.
Finally, after what felt like forever, I finished it! I actually finished the whole crossword puzzle! I felt so accomplished. I even took a picture of it to prove I did it (to myself, mostly).
So, yeah, that was my day. Crossword conquered. It actually gave me confidence.Might try another one tomorrow… maybe.
