Okay, so I stumbled upon this “Project 70” thing for Shohei Ohtani, and I was like, “What’s this all about?” Turns out, it’s a pretty cool collectible card set. I’m not a HUGE card collector, but Ohtani is, well, Ohtani. So, I decided to dive in.

Getting Started
First, I just Googled “Project 70 Shohei Ohtani.” That led me down a rabbit hole of different artist interpretations of Ohtani cards. I gotta say, some of them are really out there – in a good way! I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I just started looking at pictures, honestly.
Picking a Few
After browsing for what felt like forever, I narrowed it down to a few that I really liked.
It was not really easy, every art looks so awesome.
- One had this super-modern, almost abstract vibe.
- Another was more classic, like an old-school baseball card.
- And then there was this one that was just totally wild, like a cartoon version of Ohtani.
I ended up grabbing all three. I figured, why not? It’s Ohtani!
The Waiting Game
Now, the not-so-fun part: waiting for them to arrive. It took few weeks, I think. I’m not the most patient person, so refreshing the tracking page became my new hobby. It is very suffering, and exciting!
They’re Here!
Finally, the package arrived! I ripped that thing open like a kid on Christmas morning. And you know what? They looked even better in person than they did online. The colors were super vibrant, and the card stock felt really nice and thick.
Showing Them Off
Of course, I had to show them off to my buddies. They were pretty impressed, even the ones who aren’t into baseball. I mean, these aren’t your typical baseball cards. They’re more like little pieces of art.

Now I keep them carefully, these are my little treasures.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m super happy with my Project 70 Ohtani cards. It was a fun little project, and I ended up with some really unique collectibles. If you’re an Ohtani fan, or just like cool art, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. You might just find yourself getting sucked in like I did!
