Okay, so I wanted to organize my golf bag a bit better, specifically the putter. It kept banging against my other clubs, which is annoying and probably not great for the putter itself. I saw these “putter clips” online and figured I’d give one a shot.

Finding the Right Spot
First, I emptied my golf bag. I wanted a clean slate to work with. I laid everything out on the floor so I could see all my clubs clearly.
Then, I tried a few different spots on the bag for the clip. Some bags have a dedicated putter well, but mine doesn’t, just a bunch of dividers. I tested clipping it to the side, near the top, and even down lower. I wanted it to be easily accessible but also out of the way of my other clubs.
Attaching the Clip
Once I found a spot I liked – kind of high up on the side, near the bag’s opening – I went ahead and attached the clip. This one was pretty simple; it just snapped onto the bag’s divider. No tools required, thankfully!
- Make sure the clip is securely attached. Give it a good tug to be sure.
- Position the clip so the putter head will be protected.
Testing It Out
With the clip in place, I slid my putter into it. It fit snugly, which is good. I then put all my other clubs back in the bag, making sure they weren’t bumping into the putter.
I even shook the bag around a bit (gently!) to see if the putter would stay put. It did! Success!
The Result
Now, my putter is nicely separated and protected. It’s easier to grab when I need it, and I don’t have to worry about it getting scratched or dented. This little clip actually made a bigger difference than I expected. It’s so much less of a hassle!
Totally worth it.
