Okay, so I finally decided to dive deep into Destiny 2 and really go for those Seals. I’ve been playing on and off for a while, but always felt intimidated by the Triumphs and stuff needed for the titles. Figured it was time to buckle down!

Getting Started: Picking a Seal
First thing I did was just… look at all the available Seals. There are a TON, tied to different activities and expansions. Some seemed way out of my league (like, seriously, who has time for flawless raids?), but others looked doable. I ended up focusing on the “Dredgen” Seal, since I enjoy Gambit quite a bit, even though I’m not amazing at it.
The Grind Begins: Focusing on Triumphs
Once I picked Dredgen, I started looking at the individual Triumphs needed. I opened up the in-game menu, found the Seal, and started reading through them. Some were pretty straightforward, like “win Gambit matches” or “bank motes”. Others were more specific, like “kill enemies with a specific weapon type” or “complete certain bounties”.
I created a simple checklist, just writing down each Triumph on a piece of paper. This helped me keep track of what I needed to do. I’m a very visual person, so crossing things off a list is super satisfying.
Playing with Purpose: Mixing and Matching
The biggest thing I learned was to be efficient. Instead of just playing Gambit randomly, I started thinking about how to complete multiple Triumphs at once. For example, if I needed to bank motes and kill enemies with a hand cannon, I’d make sure to equip a hand cannon and focus on collecting motes during the match.
- Step 1: Equip the right gear for multiple triumphs.
- Step 2: Focus on completing bounties that align with the triumphs.
- Step 3: Prioritize objectives that contribute to multiple triumphs simultaneously.
The Frustration (and the Reward): Dealing with Challenges
It wasn’t always smooth sailing. Some of the Triumphs were REALLY annoying. There was one that required me to kill a bunch of high-value targets, and those things can be tough to find and even tougher to kill before someone else snags them. I definitely yelled at my screen a few times during that one. And don’t even get me started on the “Protect the Runner” triumph…getting a team together that could pull that off consistently was a nightmare! I tryed find any group online.
But finally completed the “Protect the Runner” triumph! I really happy to finish it. I’ve been trying to get the Dredgen Seal, and this was one of the harder ones. I just kept grinding, kept trying different strategies, and eventually, it all clicked. It’s a great feeling to finally get it done!
The Final Push: Completing the Seal
Slowly but surely, I started checking off those Triumphs. It took a few weeks of dedicated play, but I finally got to the point where I only had one or two left. The last one was something simple, I think it was just “win a Gambit match”. Easy peasy!
I queued up for one last Gambit match, played my heart out (even though I didn’t really need to), and… victory! The Seal popped up on my screen, and I felt a genuine sense of accomplishment. I even equipped the Dredgen title right away, just to show it off a little.

Keep Going
So, that’s my story of getting my first Destiny 2 Seal. It was a mix of planning, grinding, frustration, and ultimately, satisfaction. Now I’m eyeing a few other Seals… maybe the Cursebreaker one next? Wish me luck!
