Okay, so I saw this “eric gentry injury” thing trending and, like everyone else, I got curious. I mean, who is Eric Gentry, and what happened?

First, I hit up Google. Just typed in “eric gentry injury” and boom – tons of articles popped up. Mostly sports news sites, which gave me a clue he’s probably an athlete.
I started clicking through some of the articles. Turns out, Eric Gentry is a linebacker for the USC Trojans football team. Okay, cool, I’m getting somewhere.
Then I dug deeper into the articles. It looks like he suffered an ankle injury during a game against, I think it was, Colorado? Most articles were talking about him being helped off the field and not being able to put weight on his leg. Ouch, that sounds rough.
The Detective Work Continues
I wanted to know how serious it was, so I kept looking. I found some reports mentioning he had a previous ankle injury, maybe even last season. That’s not good. Recurring injuries can be a real pain.
- Checked social media: I scrolled through Twitter. Lots of fans were wishing him well and hoping for a speedy recovery. Some people were speculating about the severity, but nothing concrete.
- Looked for official statements: I tried to find something from USC, like an official press release or something from the coach. It’s always best to get the info straight from the source, you know?
It seems that there is still a wait on Gentry’s states, so my search continues and I will do a part 2 when new details comes to light
