Okay, so today I decided to dig into the Yankees vs. Seattle Mariners game and pull out some player stats. Nothing too fancy, just wanted to see how some of the guys were performing.

Getting Started
First, I needed to find a good source for the data. I’m not going to lie, there are a ton of places to get it, but I want the easy-to-use, I’m thinking of sharing it with others.
The Process
I started looking for information, so, I made sure I had the correct game date – you know, to avoid any mix-ups with older stats.
- I looked a couple of different sports, and game website.
- I looked for player list, I want to see everyone.
Once I found the game, I started looking at individual player stats. I focused on the key stuff, like:
- Batting: Hits, Runs, RBIs, Home Runs – the usual suspects.
- Pitching: Strikeouts, Earned Runs, Innings Pitched, etc.
It was pretty simple to find the main stats for each player. I jotted down the numbers for some of the key players on both teams. I wanted to get a feel for who had a good game and who might have struggled a bit.
The Result
After gathering the information, I just put it all down to keep a record. I’m not gonna lie, this stuff is kinda cool for the future.
This was a good exercise. Next time, I might try to compare these stats to previous games or even track a few players throughout the season. We’ll see!
