Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online about “osu football injuries,” and it got me thinking. I’m no expert, but I do follow the team pretty closely, and I’ve noticed some trends. So, I decided to do a little digging of my own, just to see if I could make sense of it all. It is all about my personal experience about searching online.

My Little Investigation
First, I started by just browsing some of the usual places – fan forums, team websites, sports news sites, that kind of thing. I jotted down any mention of injuries, who was hurt, how it happened, and how long they were out. Just casual notes, nothing fancy.
After getting a general feel, I decided to get a little more organized. I made a simple spreadsheet. The first column will record the names of players, the second one is the injury details, and the third one I used to track the happening time.
- Player Names: Listing each player who’s been mentioned as injured.
- Injury: What kind of injury did they have? (Knee, ankle, shoulder, etc.)
- Time: When did that happen.
Then, I went back to my notes and started filling in the spreadsheet. It was a bit of a mess at first, lots of incomplete info. Some articles would say “lower body injury,” others would be more specific. Some would mention a timeline, others wouldn’t. I did see several players mentioned with hamstring issues.
The time part are easy to be searched, it is no difficulty for me. And I find it interesting and may help others so I want to share it here.
It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not scientific, but it did give me a better sense of what’s been going on. It looked like a lot of the problems were happening during games, not just practice, which makes sense. And there seemed to be a cluster of injuries around mid-season, which got me thinking about fatigue and conditioning. That is my whole expericence share.
