My Grind with Ash Being Gone
So, I wanted to talk about that time Ash just kinda vanished from Brawl Stars for a bit, at least for me. It was weird, messed up my whole flow.

I remember firing up the game, you know, ready for a few matches. Had this daily quest, I think it involved tanks, or maybe just winning games, doesn’t matter. My go-to guy for that kind of stuff is Ash. Love that grumpy trash knight. So, I hit the brawler selection screen, muscle memory kicking in, ready to pick him.
And he wasn’t there.
I scrolled down. Then up. Then down again, slower this time. Nope. Just… gone. My first thought was, “Did I accidentally filter him out?” Checked that, no filters active. Okay, weird. Maybe the game just glitched?
So, I did the usual stuff:
- Closed the app completely. Force closed it, even.
- Restarted my phone, just for good measure. Sometimes that shakes things loose.
- Logged back into Brawl Stars. Went straight to the brawlers.
Still no Ash. Man, that was annoying. It’s like planning your whole day around something and then it just gets cancelled last minute. I didn’t see any big announcement pop-up right away, nothing in the news section inside the game at that exact moment.
Felt pretty lost, honestly. Ash is just comfortable, you know? I know his range, his speed, when to pop that super. Trying to jump to another tank just felt… off. I think I ended up picking Frank or maybe Primo, can’t remember exactly, but it wasn’t the same. Played a few games, did okay, but my head wasn’t really in it. Kept thinking, “Where the heck is Ash?”
Later on, I think there was some maintenance or a quick patch download. Didn’t pay super close attention to the details, just clicked ‘update’ when it popped up. After that, I checked again.
And boom, there he was. Back in his usual spot, ready to go. Didn’t say where he’d been, no postcard or anything. Just back. It was probably some bug they had to fix, maybe something game-breaking, who knows. They don’t always tell you everything.

Was just glad to have him back. It really throws you off when a character you rely on just disappears without warning. Made me realize how much I actually play that guy. Anyway, that was my little adventure with the missing Ash. Just part of the fun with live games, I guess.
