Alright, let me tell you about this crossword puzzle I was wrestling with the other day. Just sitting back, trying to get my brain working a bit, you know? Standard stuff.

Tackling the Clues
So I’m cruising along, filling in the easy ones, feeling pretty smart. Then I hit this clue, I think it was something like “elevated for driving”. Simple enough, right? Wrong. My mind just drew a blank. Stared at it for ages.
What the heck could it be? I started thinking about all sorts of stuff. Is it a ramp? A bridge? Maybe some weird kind of road? The letters I had didn’t seem to help much at first. Kept going through words in my head – ridge, highway, viaduct… nah, none felt quite right or fit the squares I had open.
I put the paper down, grabbed another coffee, and just let it sit in the back of my mind. Sometimes you just gotta step away for a minute.
The Breakthrough
Then, while I was just looking out the window, it clicked. Like a lightbulb going on. Elevated… for driving… over other roads! An OVERPASS! Yeah, that felt right. I rushed back to the puzzle, checked the letters again. O-V-E-R… yep, it slotted in perfectly.
Could have also been FLYOVER, I guess, depending on the puzzle maker, but OVERPASS fit the boxes I had. Felt pretty good to finally nail that one down. Funny how your brain can get stuck on something that seems obvious once you figure it out.
Anyway, that was my little puzzle adventure for the day. Got the rest of it finished after that. Just goes to show, sometimes you just need a different perspective, or maybe just more caffeine.
