Alright, so, you wanna know ’bout this fella, Yohan Lainesse, huh? Okay, okay, lemme tell ya what I know. This young man, they call him “White Lion,” sounds fancy, eh? Like somethin’ you’d see at the circus. But no, he’s one of them cage fighters, you know, the ones that go punchy-punchy, kicky-kicky.
Now, they say he’s a Canadian fella, and he fights in somethin’ called the UFC. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like some kinda club for tough guys. And he’s a welterweight, whatever that is. Probably means he ain’t too fat, ain’t too skinny, just right for beatin’ folks up, I reckon.
They say he was born on August 14th. What year? I ain’t got no idea, and frankly, it don’t matter much. He’s 6 foot 1, or thereabouts. That’s a tall drink of water, like my Billy was before he went hunched over from all that plowin’. And this Yohan fella, he weighs ’bout 170 pounds. Not a big fella, but strong, I bet. You gotta be strong to wrestle around in a cage like them fellas do.
I heard tell he fought some other fellas. One time, he went up against a guy named Darian Weeks. Don’t know who won, don’t care much neither. Just a buncha fellas punchin’ each other, far as I can see. They got all these numbers, you know, like 23 and 44 and whatnot. Must be scores or somethin’. Too much thinkin’ for me, I tell ya.
- They say he’s got somethin’ called “striking” skills. Sounds like snake, doesn’t it? Anyways it’s got nothin’ to do with snake. Means he’s good at hittin’ folks, I guess.
- They also got his “fight history,” like they keep track of every time he’s tussled with someone. More numbers and names, I swear, it’s like tryin’ to read the phone book.
Now, this UFC, it’s got these things called “fight nights.” Sounds like a hootenanny, but it ain’t. It’s where these fellas get together and beat the snot outta each other. And they got “prelims,” too, like the warm-up act before the main event. One time, I heard, some fella named Nathaniel Wood busted up another fella named Daniel Pineda. See? Just a whole lotta bustin’ up goin’ on.
And they got this thing called UFC 304, and another thing called UFC 279. More numbers! I’m tellin’ ya, it’s enough to make your head spin. UFC 279, that was the one with Diaz versus Ferguson, whoever they are. Just a buncha names to me.
This Yohan fella, he’s got followers, like he’s some kinda preacher or somethin’. Thousands of ’em, they say. On the internet, you know, that thingamajig that the young folks are always glued to. He’s got pictures and videos and all sorts of stuff on there, I hear. I wouldn’t know, I ain’t got no use for that internet nonsense.
So, that’s about all I know ’bout this Yohan “White Lion” Lainesse fella. He’s a fighter, a Canadian, and he likes to punch people. Sounds like a handful, if you ask me. But hey, to each their own, I always say. Long as he ain’t causin’ trouble in my neck of the woods, he can do as he pleases.
In short, Yohan Lainesse is a Canadian UFC fighter in the welterweight division. Folks online sure like to keep tabs on when and who he’s fighting. He seems to be a pretty popular fella amongst them fighting fans.
