Alright, let’s talk about this Steven Kwan fella and his contract. I heard some folks jabberin’ about it, so I figured I’d try and make sense of it all, ya know? Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just tell it like it is.
So, this Steven Kwan, he plays baseball, that much I got. Plays for them Cleveland Guardians. Sounds like a tough job, runnin’ around all day. My old knees would never hold up.
Now, about that contract. Seems like these fellas get paid a whole heap of money just to swing a stick and catch a ball. I heard someone say Steven Kwan made somethin’ like $2,184,900 as his base salary. That’s a lot of dough! He got a signin’ bonus too, $185,000 they said. And then there’s somethin’ called incentives, another $477,103. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like extra money for doin’ somethin’ good, I reckon.
- 2024: $757,600 (Heard he’s gonna get this much this year, wowza!)
- 2023: $1,204,403 (Must’ve been a good year for him, that’s more than I’ve seen in my whole life!)
- 2022: $700,000 (Still a whole lotta money, even for a “slow” year.)
They say he signed a one-year deal for $727,300 too. Guess that means he’s set for this year, at least. And they’re talkin’ he won’t be a free agent until 2028. That’s a long time to be playin’ ball. Hope he saves some of that money, ya never know what tomorrow brings.
I also heard tell that this fella hits the ball pretty good. Somethin’ about a .292 average last year and a .285 over his whole career. Guess that’s why they pay him the big bucks. Folks are even comparin’ him to them fellas, Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge. Big names, I hear. They said somethin’ about him bein’ a “batting average leader.” Sounds fancy, but I guess it means he’s good at hittin’ that ball.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but from what I gather, Steven Kwan is doin’ alright for himself. He’s makin’ a whole lotta money playin’ baseball, and folks seem to think he’s pretty good at it. He was born in 1997, so he’s still a young fella. Got plenty of time to make even more money, I suppose. Just hope he doesn’t go and spend it all foolishly.
This whole contract thing is kinda confusin’, all them numbers and fancy terms. But the bottom line is, this Steven Kwan is gettin’ paid real well to play baseball. And as long as he keeps hittin’ that ball and they keep payin’ him, I guess everyone’s happy. That’s the way the world works, I reckon. You do your job, and you get paid for it. Even if that job is just hittin’ a ball with a stick.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about this Steven Kwan contract. Hope I explained it alright for ya. It ain’t easy for an old lady like me to keep up with all this young people stuff. But I try my best, ya know?
