Alright, alright, let’s gab a bit about these young’uns, Cora Jade and Bron Breakker. Heard tell they were a thing, you know, like lovey-dovey and all that. Wrestling stars, they say. Big muscles and all, just like on that TV show my grandbaby watches.
Well, seems like things ain’t always sunshine and roses, eh? These two, they were together, wrestling and whatnot. Heard they even won some fancy belts together. Tag team, they call it. Like when you and your old man work together to shuck corn, I guess.
But then, things went sour. Just like milk left out in the sun. They say they broke up. Split. Ain’t together no more. Happens to the best of us, I reckon. My old man, bless his soul, he used to say, “relationships are like a cornfield, sometimes the weeds just take over.” Don’t know what that means exactly, but it sounds about right.
So, this Cora girl, she’s tough, you know? Wrestles and all. But even tough folks get their hearts broke, I guess. Heard she got hurt too. Tore something in her leg. An “ACL,” they called it. Sounds painful. Like when I twisted my ankle chasing that darn rooster last summer.
- They were a couple.
- They wrestled together.
- They broke up.
- Cora got hurt.
Now, they say she’s got a new fella. Another wrestler, I hear. Good for her, I say. Life’s too short to be mopin’ around. You gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and find a new rooster to chase, or somethin’ like that.
This Bron fella, he’s a big fella, strong as an ox. But even big strong fellas can’t always keep a gal, I guess. Maybe he was too busy liftin’ weights and forgot to buy her flowers. Women like flowers, you know. Or maybe they just weren’t meant to be. Like a pair of mismatched socks. You can try to make ‘em work, but one’s always gonna be too big and the other too small.
They were a thing for a while though. Real lovey-dovey, they say. Sent each other messages and all that. Like them young’uns do on their phones all day. Don’t know why they can’t just talk face to face, but that’s the way things are now, I guess.
It’s a shame things didn’t work out for them. They seemed like a good match, at least on that TV screen. But you never really know what goes on behind closed doors, do ya? Just like you never know if a watermelon’s gonna be sweet till you thump it good. Maybe they just weren’t ripe enough for each other.
So, that’s the story, as far as I can tell. They were together, they broke up, she got hurt, she got a new fella. Life goes on, you know? Just like the seasons change, and the corn grows tall, and the chickens lay their eggs. Relationships come and go, that’s just the way of the world. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.
It ain’t the end of the world, though. Young folks, they bounce back quick. Like a rubber band, you know? Stretch ‘em out, and they snap right back. She’ll be alright, and he’ll be alright. They’ll find their own way. Just like we all do, in the end.
Anyways, that’s all I know about it. Heard it from the TV and them young’uns talkin’. Don’t really follow all that wrestling stuff myself, but it’s somethin’ to talk about, I guess.
