Well, I don’t know much about fancy golf, you know, but I heard tell there’s some places in Russia where they play it. Russia, that’s a big country, way over yonder. They say some folks there, the womenfolk too, like to swing them golf sticks.
Golf Courses in Russia, They Say
I heard some fellas talking down at the market. They were jabbering about “golf courses” in Russia. Sounds like fancy places, real high-falutin’. They mentioned names like “Tseleevo.” Said it was “ultra-luxury.” Don’t even know what that means, sounds expensive though. Probably ain’t for the likes of us.
- They got lots of these golf places, they say.
- Some in big cities like, uh, Saint Petersburg, I think they called it.
- And some out in the countryside, where it’s all green and pretty.
Now, these fellas, they were looking at pictures on their shiny little phones. Showed green fields, all smooth and neat. And little white balls. Said folks hit them balls with them sticks, tryin’ to get ’em in a hole far away. Sounds like a lot of walkin’ to me. My old bones ain’t up for that.
Best Golf Spots? Who Knows?
Them fellas, they kept talkin’ ’bout the “best” golf courses. Said some folks got opinions on which ones is the best. They look at things, you know, how the fields are kept, if the place is fancy enough, I guess. Some website, they said, “Leading Courses,” shows pictures and lets people say what they think. Folks like to give their two cents, don’t they?
They also said you can find these golf places online, book a “golf holiday.” Imagine that, going all the way to Russia just to hit a little ball around! Must be nice to have that kind of money. Me, I’m happy with a good cup of tea and a sit-down.
Lots of Choices, Apparently
One fella said there’s like, 24 golf courses in Russia. Twenty-four! That’s a lot of places to swing a stick. He said you can see what other “golfers” – that’s what they call ’em, golfers – think of the places. They write reviews, he said. Tell you if the place is good or not. Like them folks on that “Leading Courses” thing.
More Than Just Golf, Maybe
Now, this part got me confused. They started talkin’ ’bout schools, “liberal arts,” “nursing,” all sorts of things. Sounded like a college, not a golf place. Said something about students and a big campus. Maybe these golf places are near schools? Or maybe them fellas just got sidetracked. Happens when you get to talkin’.
So, what do I think about women’s golf in Russia? Well, I don’t know much, that’s for sure. But sounds like there’s places to play if you’re a woman and you like hittin’ them little white balls. Plenty of fancy places, by the sound of it. And folks got opinions on which ones is best. Me, I’ll stick to my garden. Less walkin’.
