Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about this here WWE Raw, you know, the wrestlin’ show. Folks keep askin’, “How long is this WWE Raw thing anyway?” It’s like askin’ how long a piece of string is, ain’t it? But I’ll tell ya what I know, and it ain’t always been the same, that’s for sure.
Now, for a good long spell, felt like forever, it was a three-hour shebang. Yep, three whole hours of them fellas thumpin’ and bumpin’ each other. Started way back in 2012, around the time my Betsy had her first calf, I think. They called it the “thousandth episode,” fancy that! Anyway, every Monday night, there it was, three hours of wrestlin’ drama. You could get a whole lot of chores done watchin’ that much wrestlin’, let me tell ya.
- Three-hour shows: That was the way of it for a long, long time. From 2012 all the way up to just recently. Folks got used to it, ya know? Like gettin’ used to the rooster crowin’ at dawn.
- Two-hour change: But then, just like the weather, things changed. Heard tell they announced it on the TV, right there on the Raw show itself. Said it’d be two hours now, startin’ October 7th of this year, 2024.
- USA Network to Netflix: And that ain’t all. Seems like they’re movin’ the whole shebang over to somethin’ called “Netflix” come January. Heard it’s one of them newfangled computery things. Don’t know much about it myself, still got my rabbit ears on the TV.
So, for a while there, it was three hours. Then, from October 7th, 2024, to the end of December, it’s gonna be two hours on that USA channel. And after that? Well, that’s where it gets a bit murky.
They’re sayin’ it’s movin’ to Netflix in January 2025, that much is clear. Big deal, they say, five billion dollars or somethin’. Land sakes, that’s a lot of hay! But how long it’ll be on Netflix, that’s the question. Some folks say two hours, some folks ain’t sayin’ nothin’ at all. Even that fella Triple H, he’s one of the big bosses, he says they’re still figurin’ it out. Sounds like they’re busier than a one-legged cat in a sandbox.
Now, if you ask me, two hours is plenty. Three hours is a long time to sit and watch folks pretend to fight, even if it is entertainin’. Got things to do, ya know? Cows to milk, chickens to feed, garden to tend. Can’t be sittin’ around all day watchin’ TV.
So, to sum it up, here’s the lowdown on how long WWE Raw is:
- Before October 7, 2024: Three hours long. A real marathon of wrestlin’.
- October 7, 2024 to December 30, 2024: Two hours long on the USA Network. A bit shorter, easier to manage.
- Starting January 6, 2025: Moving to Netflix. Length is uncertain, but likely two hours, maybe more. We’ll just have to wait and see.
So there ya have it. The length of WWE Raw ain’t been set in stone, and it’s changin’ again. But right now, it’s two hours, and that’s probably how it’ll be for a while, even when it moves to that Netflix thingamajig. Just enough time to get your wrestlin’ fix and still get your chores done. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens.
Folks are always lookin’ for the length of the show so they can plan their Monday nights. It’s important to know, especially if you have things to do. Nobody wants to miss their favorite wrestlers but nobody wants to let the cows out late either. This change from three hours to two has been a big deal for some folks. They had gotten used to the three-hour format and now they have to adjust. It’s like when they changed the recipe for them store-bought cookies, took some gettin’ used to.
It’s kind of a big shift, you know, from three hours down to two. Makes you wonder why they done it. Maybe folks got tired of watchin’ for so long. Maybe it costs too much to run it that long. Maybe they just wanted to shake things up. Who knows? Them TV folks are always doin’ things that don’t make a lick of sense to me. But as long as there’s still wrestlin’, I reckon folks will keep watchin’, no matter how long it is.
They keep talkin’ about ratings and viewers and all that fancy talk. I just care if the wrestlin’s good, if the stories make sense, and if them fellas are puttin’ on a good show. Two hours, three hours, heck, even one hour, as long as it’s a good show, I’m happy. And I bet most other folks are too.
So, if you’re plannin’ on watchin’ WWE Raw, now you know. Two hours for the rest of the year on USA, and then who knows what will happen when it moves to Netflix. But I’ll tell you what, I’ll be watchin’. Even if it’s just for a little bit, just to see what them fellas are up to. It’s better than starin’ at the wall, that’s for sure. WWE Raw length has changed, and it might change again, but the wrestlin’ goes on.
