Alright, let’s talk about this Chris Kanyon fella. I heard some things, you know, the kind of things folks whisper about. Don’t rightly know where to start, but I reckon we can piece it together, like a quilt made of gossip and old news.
Chris Kanyon, a Wrestler, You Know
Now, this Chris, he was one of them wrestlers. Big fella, strong as an ox, I reckon. Folks say he was real popular back in the day, like in the late 1990s. You know, the kind that jumped around on TV in them tight pants. Made a good living, I suppose, flinging folks around and such. But life ain’t always easy, even for them fellas who look tough as nails.
He wrestled for a bit in that WCW thing, I think they called it. Had a funny name there, Mortis, or somethin’ like that. Wore a mask, I heard. Spooky-like. Then he went to that WWF, you know, the big one. Folks was excited, thought he’d be a real star there.
- Started out strong, but then… well, things got tough.
- Folks say his career, it kinda went downhill. Don’t rightly know why, but that’s what they say.
The Troubles He Had
Now, here’s where it gets kinda sad. This Chris fella, he had some demons, I guess you could say. Things that bothered him deep down. Folks whisper about it, say he was… well, they use words I don’t rightly understand, somethin’ about bein’ different. Somethin’ about liking fellas instead of gals.
Back in my day, you didn’t talk about such things. But times are changin’, I guess. Still, it sounds like it was hard on him. This wrestling world, it’s all about bein’ tough and manly, you know? And if you ain’t like that, well, folks can be mean. Real mean.
Life Got Hard, Real Hard
He struggled, they say. Fought them demons, but they were strong. And that wrestling life, it ain’t easy. All that travelin’, all that pressure to be the best. It takes a toll, you know? Breaks a body down, and a mind too, I reckon.
And this bein’ different thing, it must’ve been lonely. In a world where everyone’s supposed to be one way, and you’re… well, you’re not. That’s a heavy load to carry, all alone.
The Sad Endin’
Then… well, then things took a real bad turn. His brother, Ken, got worried. Chris wasn’t answerin’ his calls, see? So, Ken went lookin’ for him. Found him in his childhood home, in Queens, I think they said. Dead.
Found him dead, he did. All alone. Just 40 years old. Too young, way too young.
They say there was pills nearby. Pills for sadness and such. And a note. A note to his family, sayin’ sorry, I guess. For the trouble, for the pain. It’s a heartbreaker, it truly is. A strong fella like that, brought down by somethin’ you can’t even see.
What We Can Learn, Maybe
I ain’t no preacher, and I don’t pretend to understand it all. But it seems to me, this Chris Kanyon fella, he was a good man, wrestling and all. A good man who had a hard life. And maybe, just maybe, we can learn somethin’ from him. Maybe we can learn to be kinder, to be more understandin’. Especially to folks who are different. Because bein’ different ain’t wrong, no matter what some folks say.
This world can be a tough place. And sometimes, even the strongest folks need a helping hand. They need someone to listen, someone to care. And maybe, just maybe, if we all did a little more of that, there wouldn’t be so many sad stories like this one. About Chris Kanyon, the wrestler, and the demons he fought.
So that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. A sad one, like I said. But maybe, by sharin’ it, we can keep his memory alive. And maybe, just maybe, we can learn to be a little bit better, a little bit kinder, in this old world of ours.
And about this partner thing… I don’t rightly know if he had one in the way folks mean, a husband or wife, you know. But he had a brother who loved him, that much is clear. And maybe, in the end, that’s all that really matters.
