Alright, let’s talk about this TNF schedule thing, you know, that football stuff they play on Thursday nights. I ain’t no expert, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I understand it.
So, they got this Thursday Night Football, been around since, what, 2006? That’s a long time, even for an old gal like me. They started it up slow, just a few games here and there, then they made it a regular thing, starting in Week 2, they say. Don’t ask me why Week 2, maybe they were busy Week 1, who knows?
Now, this year, 2024, they got a whole bunch of games lined up. They announced the whole shebang back in May, May 15th to be exact, if you believe what they say. These games, they go from September all the way to December. That’s a lot of football, if you ask me. Enough to keep them fellas busy, and us folks watching, I guess.
They got this big game, the Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers. That’s a big deal, I hear. That one’s on December 12th, a Thursday, of course, at 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time, whatever that means. They say you can watch it on somethin’ called Prime Video. Sounds fancy. You need that app thingy, on your TV or your phone, they say. Kids these days with their gadgets.
- Week 1: They got a game, but it ain’t on that Prime Video thing. It’s on NBC and Peacock Premium. Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like somethin’ for the birds.
- Week 2: This is where the regular Thursday night games start, the ones on Prime Video. I don’t know who’s playin’, but they’re playin’.
- And so on… They play every week, all the way through December. Lots of teams, lots of games. Too many for me to keep track of, honestly.
Now, sometimes, they change the games around. They call it “flexed,” like they’re showin’ off their muscles or somethin’. They did it twice this year, through Week 12. One time, they switched out some teams, the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings, put them in the spotlight instead of… well, I don’t remember who they were playin’ before. Point is, they can change things up, keep you on your toes.
This whole TNF schedule thing, it’s a big deal for them football fans. They plan their weeks around it, I hear. Thursday nights, they’re glued to the TV, watchin’ them fellas run around and knock each other down. I don’t get it, myself. Seems like a lot of fuss over a ball, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
So, if you wanna know the whole schedule, week by week, you gotta look it up. They got it all written down somewhere, on the internet, I guess. Just search for “Thursday Night Football 2024 schedule” or somethin’ like that. They even got these things called “tags,” like National Football League. That helps you find it, they say. Like I said, kids these days with their fancy technology.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. Thursday Night Football, starts in September, goes through December, lots of games, sometimes they change ’em around, and you can watch most of ’em on Prime Video. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got some chores to do. This football talk ain’t gonna get the dishes washed.
Oh, and one more thing, they keep talkin’ about the “2024 NFL season” too. That’s the whole shebang, not just the Thursday games. So if you hear that, don’t get confused. It’s all part of the same thing, just more football. Lord have mercy, like we need more football.
