You know, they talkin’ ’bout that Bud Crawford, shot in the head. Boy, that’s somethin’, ain’t it? Heard he got shot, right in the head. Can you believe that? Some folks say it happened a long time ago, like ten years back or somethin’. He was just sittin’ in his car, countin’ his money after playin’ dice, you know how them young folks do. They say it was way early in the mornin’.
And then, bam! Someone shot him from behind. Right through the back window of that old car of his. They say it was one of them nine-millimeter bullets. Hit him right on the side of his head, they say, just below his ear. Lucky it didn’t go all the way through, just kind of went around his skull. That old car musta slowed that bullet down some. They call that car a Cutlass, I think. Fancy name for an old car, huh?
That Bud, he’s a tough one, I tell ya. They say he’s been shot at like eight times! Can you imagine? Eight times! And he’s still around, kickin’ and fightin’ in that ring. He’s got six kids, you know. Six! Terence Jr., Miya, T. Bud, Tyrese, Talaya, and Trinity. That’s a whole bunch of mouths to feed. He’s got that woman he’s been with a long time, she’s like his wife now. They say he’s happy, livin’ a good life. Good for him, I say, after all that.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ he ain’t gonna fight no more. Somethin’ ’bout a rematch with that Spence fella. Seems like he’s gotta fight him again, somethin’ ’bout a contract they got. Some rule makers, they don’t care ’bout no contract, though. So now they sayin’ Bud ain’t the champ no more, at least not for one of them groups. Too much rigmarole if you ask me. They be changin’ the rules all the time.
It’s a tough world out there, I tell ya. All that shootin’ and carryin’ on. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this. We had our troubles, sure, but not like this. People just tryin’ to make a livin’, playin’ their dice games, and then somethin’ like this happens. It’s a shame, that’s what it is. Bud Crawford getting shot in the head, that’s somethin’ you don’t hear every day.
He’s a fighter, that Bud. Always has been. Even before he was in that ring, he was fightin’ for his life out on them streets. Eight times shot at, they say. That’s more than most folks can handle. But he’s still here, still goin’. He’s got them kids to think about, that wife of his. He’s got a reason to keep goin’. And that’s a good thing, I reckon.

I heard they were talkin’ bout him on some podcast. With that Mike fella and some other fella named DJ. Hot something. Hotboxin’, that is it. Talkin bout how Bud, he switch up his style, you know, go lefty. That is to fight from the southpaw stance. Then he fight different. That is what they say on that show. And that Spence fella, they are talkin about him too.
I hope that Bud fella is doin’ alright. He’s been through a lot, that’s for sure. Bud Crawford shot in the head is big news. It is a crazy world when a man can’t even sit in his own car without gettin’ shot. But like I said, he’s a fighter. He’ll be alright. He’s got that family to take care of. That’s what matters most, ain’t it? Family.
Well, that’s all I got to say ’bout that. Just thought I’d share what I heard. It’s a wild story, that’s for sure. Bud Crawford, shot in the head and all. Hope he stays safe out there. That’s all anybody can hope for these days, ain’t it? Just to stay safe. Him being a boxer and all, having all that bullet trouble back in the day. I guess now we all know why he is so good at dodging punches. He had practice with bullets!
Just remember, be careful out there. It ain’t like the old days. Keep your head down, your eyes open. Especially if you out late at night, playin dice and countin your money. And you drive an old car like that Cutlass, you better watch out who is behind you. That bullet might find you. You understand what I am sayin’? Now I am talkin about 90 days. That is how long it take for things to settle down. At least that is what I heard.
