Alright, let’s talk about upgrading the Initiate of Alamut Sword in AC Mirage. Man, getting this sword and then actually making it decent? It was a journey, lemme tell ya.

First off, I snagged the Initiate of Alamut Sword pretty early on. You basically just gotta progress through the main story a bit. Can’t remember the exact mission, but it’s hard to miss. The problem was, straight out of the box, this sword? Kinda meh. Damage was alright, but I knew it could be way better.
So, I started poking around, looking for upgrade materials. Now, in AC Mirage, you ain’t gonna find a blacksmith just chillin’ on every corner. Gotta hit up the various merchants and tailors scattered around Baghdad. These guys are your best bet for finding the schematics and the resources you need.
The materials, that’s where the real grind began. I needed stuff like steel ingots, leather, and some rarer components. Steel ingots are pretty common, you can loot them from chests, or buy them from traders. Leather? Same deal, keep an eye out when you’re looting and exploring. But the unique components? Those are trickier.
I focused on doing those world events, the little side quests that pop up on the map. A lot of them will reward you with crafting materials, including the rarer stuff. Also, don’t forget to pickpocket! Seriously, some guards and high-profile targets carry useful crafting components. I felt like a proper thief, sneaking around and pilfering whatever I could find.
Once I had the required materials, I went back to one of those merchants. You gotta find the right one, though. Some only sell schematics; others will actually upgrade your gear if you have the stuff. Clicked through the menus, found the Initiate of Alamut Sword, and finally saw the upgrade option light up.
Hit that upgrade button, and BAM! Damage boost, plus some improved stats. Suddenly, the Initiate of Alamut Sword felt like a totally different weapon. It was faster, hit harder, and made taking down those tougher enemies way easier.
The whole process, from getting the initial sword to maxing it out, took a good chunk of time. Exploring every nook and cranny of Baghdad, doing side quests, and pickpocketing everyone in sight… it was all worth it, though. That upgraded Initiate of Alamut Sword became my go-to weapon for the rest of the game.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with upgrading the Initiate of Alamut Sword. It’s a grind, but stick with it, and you’ll end up with a seriously powerful weapon. Happy hunting!
