Alright, so you wanna know ’bout this Adrian Santana fella, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, best as I can remember. This ain’t no fancy talk, just plain and simple, ya hear?
First off, this young’un, Adrian Santana, he’s a baseball player. Yeah, plays that game with the bat and ball. Seems like he’s been movin’ around a bit, from team to team, like a stray dog lookin’ for a home. He’s been with the DSL Cubs Red, the DSL Cubs Blue, and even the Tampa Bay Rays, bless his heart.
Now, they say he was born in 2005, down in Florida, Hialeah, I think they called it. A young sprout, barely out of diapers, it seems. And they drafted him in 2023, Tampa Bay Rays picked him. Round CB-A, pick number 31. Sounds fancy, but all it means is they saw somethin’ in him, somethin’ special maybe.
He plays shortstop, they say. That’s the fella who stands in the middle there, catches the ball and throws it real quick. Gotta be fast and smart, like a fox in a henhouse. They also say he bats and throws right-handed, which is good, I guess. Means he can hit the ball and throw it good, that’s what matters.
I heard tell he’s about 5 foot 11, and weighs around 155 pounds. Skinny as a beanpole, that boy is. But don’t let that fool ya, sometimes the skinny ones are the toughest. Like a whip, they are, quick and strong.
