Alright, so let me tell you about this headache I’ve been dealing with in Apex Legends. I’m a PS5 player, you know, casual gamer, nothing too serious. I took a break for like, two weeks, came back, and boom – my account’s acting up.
I fired up Apex, ready to jump back in, and the game starts talking about this “cross-progression” thing. Apparently, it’s supposed to let you play on any platform and keep your stuff. Sounds cool, right? Except it’s not working for me. It’s like my account got lost in the digital ether or something.
First thing I did, like any normal person, was hop online and start searching. Turns out, I’m not the only one with this issue. There are tons of posts about people’s progress getting wiped or accounts not linking properly. I even read something about switching servers to fix a “disconnect persistence” error, but that didn’t do squat for me.
Then I went into trying different solutions. I found out that once you unlink your platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account. However, that didn’t work for me. I found another saying that said “Relink your highest level account back to the original EA account.” Well, I did that too, still no luck.
I tried unlinking my PSN from my EA account, thinking maybe that would reset things. Nope. Now the game’s telling me my credentials expired, and I need to change my password. Did that, still no dice. It’s like the game is taunting me at this point.
Someone online mentioned merging accounts, but it seems like Apex doesn’t allow that. Honestly, I’m starting to think I should just uninstall the game.
The worst part is, I had some cool skins and stuff I’d unlocked. Now, it’s all gone. Vanished. Poof. It’s frustrating, to say the least. I mean, I wasn’t a pro or anything, but I put time into the game, you know?
