Alright, guys, so I was messing around in Baldur’s Gate 3 the other day, and I finally figured out how to toggle that darn highlight thing for objects and NPCs. You know, the one that makes everything glow so you can see what you can interact with? Yeah, that one. I kept turning it on and off by accident, and it was driving me nuts!

So, here’s what I did, and hopefully, it’ll help some of you out there too.
Finding the culprit
First, I scoured the settings menus. I checked “Gameplay,” “Interface,” “Accessibility”… nothing! I thought I imagined there was even an option for this.
I then went back to playing the game, poking around, clicking all the buttons, and accidentally hit a random button on my keyboard, guess what, I got it!
The Solution (It’s Super Simple)
- The key: I just simply press the ‘ALT’ button on my keyboard.
- How it works: Just press it, and you’re good to go!
Yep, that’s it. Just the ‘ALT’ key. I felt so dumb when I realized how easy it was. I kept pressing it, and the highlights would flash on and off. Problem solved!
I hope this helps some of you fellow Baldur’s Gate 3 adventurers. Now I can enjoy the rest of the game!
