Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get better at taking cool screenshots in Genshin Impact. I always see these amazing shots online, and I’m like, “How do they DO that?!” So, I finally decided to spend a good chunk of my day figuring it out.

First, I wandered around aimlessly for a bit, trying to find a good spot. You know, somewhere with decent lighting and a nice background. Mondstadt is always pretty, so I started there.
I messed with the in-game camera settings. Genshin actually has a pretty robust photo mode! You can adjust the blur, hide your character, change the time of day… it’s pretty neat.
- I played around with the depth of field – that’s the blurry background effect. Makes things look cinematic!
- I hid my character, Noelle (she’s great, but sometimes you just want the scenery, you know?).
- I cycled through the different times of day. Golden hour is always a winner!
Then came the hard part: posing! Getting a good angle with your character doing something cool is trickier than it looks. I tried having Noelle swing her sword, but it mostly just looked awkward.
I experimented with different character poses, like sitting, standing, and using elemental skills. The elemental skills are definitely where it’s at for action shots. The colors and effects just pop!
My “Aha!” Moment
I finally realized that the key is patience and a LOT of trial and error. I must have taken like a hundred pictures, and only a handful were actually any good. But, it was actually kind of fun! Like a virtual photography session.
I also figured out that it’s better to take a bunch of shots in rapid succession while your character is doing something, like attacking or using a skill. That way, you’re more likely to capture that perfect moment.
So, yeah, that was my day. I’m definitely no pro yet, but I feel like I’m getting the hang of it. It’s all about finding the right spot, playing with the settings, and just…clicking that button a whole bunch of times. My screenshot folder is a MESS, but hey, at least I got a few keepers!
