Okay, here’s my take on the “best IR stashes fantasy football 2023” topic, written as a personal blog post:
![Best IR Stashes Fantasy Football 2023: Top Players to Stash on Your Injured Reserve!](https://www.starkguitars.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/6d6bf183b3194815d6eb5ce3598cf6a4.jpeg)
Alright, league mates, let’s talk IR stashes. It’s that time of year again where we gotta start thinking ahead. I mean, way ahead. I’m talking about those guys who might be hurt now, but could be league-winners come playoff time. So, I dove in head-first to figure out who the heck we should be stashing in our Injured Reserve spots.
First, I scoured the waiver wire. Seriously, I looked at every single team in my league, checking out who was injured and what their potential timeline looked like. I am in so many leagues, I cannot use just one league to make a standard, must be them all!
My Deep Dive Process
- Checked Injury Reports: Obvious, right? But I didn’t just skim. I looked at multiple sources, tried to get a feel for the real severity, not just the coach-speak.
- Projected Return Dates: This is where it gets tricky. Nobody has a crystal ball, but you gotta make some educated guesses. I factored in the type of injury, typical recovery times, and any whispers I could find from beat reporters.
- Team Situations: Is the team in contention? Will they rush a guy back? Or are they tanking, meaning they might take it extra slow? This stuff matters.
- Upside, Upside, Upside: I’m not stashing some scrub. I’m looking for guys who, if healthy, could be legit difference-makers. Think high-ceiling players, not just warm bodies.
After all that digging, I compiled a list. Then I whittled it down, cross-referenced it with other expert opinions (gotta check my work, right?), and argued with myself for a good hour. Finally so exhausted!
I ranked them based on a highly scientific formula of gut feeling, projected points, and how much I liked their team logo (kidding…mostly). So just pick them and hold them, and at the end of the season, hopefully you will see a lot of them in the playoff!
Remember, this is fantasy football. Anything can happen. But doing your homework and being proactive with your IR spots? That’s how you win championships. Or at least, that’s what I tell myself every year before I finish in 6th place. Good luck, everyone!
