Alright, let’s talk about this NBA 2K23 roster, ya know, the players and all that. I ain’t no expert, but I watch them fellas runnin’ and jumpin’ on TV sometimes. So, lemme tell ya what I think about it, in my own way, like.
First off, LeBron James, that fella’s still a big deal, right? The game says he’s a 97, which sounds mighty high to me. But then again, he’s always been a strong one, that LeBron. He plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, they got a whole bunch of players, but seems like he’s the main man. They say the Lakers are supposed to be good, but I don’t know, they seem kinda up and down to me. Always hearin’ about them Lakers this and Lakers that.
Then you got other teams, like, I dunno, the Golden State Warriors. Heard they got some good shooters, guys that can throw that ball right in the hoop from far away. That Steph Curry fella, he’s one of ’em. Real skinny, but man, can he shoot! These youngsters always runnin’ and jumpin’ all over the place. Don’t know how they do it, makes this old lady tired just watchin’ them.
This NBA 2K23 game, it’s got all the teams and players, I guess. You can pick who you wanna play with, and like, make ’em play against each other. It’s kinda like watchin’ a real game, but you get to control what happens. I tried playin’ it once, but it was too much for me. All them buttons and sticks, I just couldn’t figure it out. My grandson, he’s good at it, though. He can make them players do all sorts of fancy things.
- Milwaukee Bucks
- Boston Celtics
- Jayson Tatum
- Jaylen Brown
- Phoenix Suns
They got these ratings for each player, like, a number that tells ya how good they are. LeBron’s a 97, like I said, but some fellas are lower, like in the 70s or 80s. I guess it’s supposed to be fair, so the best players are the best in the game too. Seems like everyone wants to play with the best players and best teams, you know. They always wanna win, not that I blame them, nobody wants to be a loser. I remember when my grandson was little he used to get so mad when he didn’t win, I told him, “It ain’t the end of the world, just try again!”
Now, about these teams… there’s a whole bunch of ‘em. You got the Milwaukee Bucks, they got that Giannis fella, he’s real tall and strong. Then there’s the Boston Celtics, they got a couple of good young fellas, Tatum and Brown, I think their names are. And the Phoenix Suns, they got some good players too, but I can’t remember their names right now. Too many names for this old brain to keep track of, ya know?
Roster updates are a big thing too, I hear. That means they change the players’ ratings and stuff, depending on how they’re playing in real life. So, if a fella starts playin’ real good, his rating goes up, and if he’s playin’ bad, it goes down. Keeps things interesting, I guess. It’s like they’re always tryin’ to make the game as real as possible, which I guess is what folks want.
I also heard somethin’ about player builds. That’s like, how you make your own player in the game. You can choose what kinda skills they got, like if they’re good at shootin’ or dribblin’ or defendin’. It’s kinda complicated, from what I’ve seen, but folks seem to like it. They spend hours and hours makin’ their perfect player. Me? I’d just want a player who can make all the shots, haha! That would make things easy.
And then there’s the game modes. You can play a regular game, or you can play a season, or you can even play online against other people. My grandson, he plays online all the time. He yells at the TV sometimes, gets real worked up, haha! I tell him, “It’s just a game, boy! Don’t get your britches in a twist!” But he loves it, and I guess that’s all that matters.
Overall, this NBA 2K23 roster seems pretty good, from what I can tell. It’s got all the players, the teams, the ratings, and all that stuff. Folks seem to like it, and that’s what counts. Me, I’m just happy watchin’ them fellas run around on the TV. It’s entertainin’, even if I don’t understand all the ins and outs. At the end of the day, it’s just a game, right? Somethin’ to pass the time and have a little fun. And ain’t nothin’ wrong with that.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about basketball has made me hungry! I think I’ll make some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. That’ll stick to your ribs, ya know?
And remember, whether it’s basketball or life, just do your best and have some fun. That’s all you can do.
