That Bryce Harper, he sure knows how to hit a ball! My grandson, he’s a big fan. Always watching him on the TV. And you know, that boy, he’s got himself a fancy house, I hear. Not like my little place, but hey, who needs all that space anyway? But I saw some pictures, and I gotta tell ya, it’s somethin’ else. It makes me wonder, where does Bryce Harper live, this baseball star?
They say he’s got a place in, uh, Haddonfield? Is that right? Sounds like a made-up name to me. But I guess if you can hit a ball like that, you can live wherever you want. Some folks are saying that Bryce Harper paid $2.1 million for that house. Now that’s a lot of money! I remember when a loaf of bread cost a nickel. Times sure have changed. What’s a fella gonna do with a house that big, I wonder? Must be a pain to clean, that’s for sure. But hey, he probably doesn’t have to worry about that, does he? Someone else probably dusting his shelves. Or maybe, he got no shelves! With such a big house, who need shelves?
And I hear tell he’s got another one, too! This one’s in…Nevada? Sounds hot. Like the desert, you know? They say Bryce Harper’s house in Henderson is worth $2.7 million! Can you believe that? What’s a body need with two houses anyway? Maybe he gets tired of one, he goes to the other. I guess baseball players, like Bryce Harper, got different needs, or so my grandson tells me. This Henderson place, they say it’s near some fancy place called, uh, “Caesars Palace?” Sounds like one of them Roman things. Maybe he likes to gamble? Or maybe, he likes to play golf. As I read, the house is near some golf course.
And this Nevada house, it’s big. Real big. Like, 7,395 square feet or something? I don’t even know what that means. My whole house could probably fit in his living room! I can’t imagine it. They say it has five bedrooms. Five! Who needs that many places to sleep? Maybe he’s got a big family. Or maybe, that’s where he keeps all his baseball stuff. And seven…bathrooms? Seven! What is he doing in all those bathrooms? That Bryce Harper house got too many rooms! But I guess if you got the money, you can have as many bathrooms as you want. It’s all about the money, right? They always want more. Look at Bryce Harper’s father, they say he got a lot of money, too. But not Bryce, they say he’s not like his father.

Now, I don’t know much about this Bryce Harper fella, except he’s good at baseball. And he’s got a lot of money. And he likes big houses, apparently. Maybe one day, my grandson will be a big baseball star, too. Then maybe he can buy me a big house. But not too big! Just big enough for me and my cat. And maybe one extra bathroom. Two would be just fine. But seven? That is way too many! Bryce Harper house is too fancy for me.
I just hope that boy, Bryce Harper, is happy in those big houses of his. That’s all that matters, right? Being happy. Whether you live in a little house like me or a big, fancy place like him. Happiness is what counts. And hitting that ball real good, I suppose. He seems to be a good boy, that Bryce Harper. Good for him. I think I will watch him play baseball today with my grandson. He likes this Bryce guy, you know? A lot. He even has his baseball card.
But still, two houses? That’s just crazy. One in Haddonfield, and one in Nevada. That Bryce Harper sure lives large. If you ask me, he’s got more money than sense. How many beds can a fella sleep in, anyway? How many toilets can he use? But hey, like I said, that’s his business. He can do what he wants with his money. As long as he’s hitting those home runs, I guess folks are happy, like my grandson. He always says that Bryce is the best. Always.
Well, I guess that’s all I gotta say about that Bryce Harper and his houses. It’s more than I ever thought I’d know about a baseball player’s house, that’s for sure! Time for me to go make some supper. Nothing fancy, just some good, simple food. Don’t need a big, fancy kitchen to make a good meal, you know. Just a good heart and some love. Now, that Bryce Harper probably got a fancy kitchen, too. I bet on it. But can he make a good soup like me? I don’t think so!
