Today I got into this Destiny 2 The Dawning thing, and gotta say, it’s a bit of a grind but kinda fun.
So, this event’s all about baking cookies for different characters in the game. Sounds weird, I know, but stick with me.
First off, I had to get this oven from Eva Levante in the Tower. That’s where the whole baking thing starts.
Then, the real work began: hunting down ingredients. And let me tell you, it’s a lot.
One of them is called Bullet Spray. You get this stuff by killing enemies, but not just any old way. You gotta use Auto Rifles or Submachine Guns. I spent a good chunk of time just blasting away with my trusty Auto Rifle. It’s kinda satisfying, watching those numbers pop up, you know?
Getting Bullet Spray
- Used Auto Rifles and Submachine Guns.
- Just kept shooting everything that moved.
- Got a decent amount after a couple of hours.
There’s also this other thing, Dawning Surprise. This one’s a bit more tricky. You gotta kill like 5-8 enemies real fast, or just 2 if they’re the tougher kind. I found that the Spire of the Watcher dungeon’s opening is a great spot for farming Vex. When you snag one of these Dawning Surprise, your abilities recharge faster, you get some health back, and you start regenerating. Pretty sweet deal.
And then there’s the whole rare ingredients thing. These are a pain. You gotta kill enemies in specific ways, like with a shotgun or a melee attack. I swear, I spent ages trying to get these, and they barely dropped. But hey, that’s part of the grind, right?
Anyways, after hours of this, I finally got enough ingredients to bake some cookies. I felt like a real space baker or something. You take these cookies to different characters, and they give you some event-specific loot. Not gonna lie, the rewards are pretty cool.
So, that’s my experience with this Destiny 2 event so far. It’s a grind, for sure, but it’s also kinda fun in its own way. Plus, who doesn’t like the idea of being a space baker? I’ll keep playing until the event ends on December 31.
