Okay, so I’ve been meaning to dig into Cody Rhodes’ match ratings for a while now. He’s been on such a tear, and I wanted to see if the numbers backed up the hype. So, I finally carved out some time today to do just that.

Getting Started
First, I needed a good source of match ratings. I figured the usual suspects – you know, the wrestling websites and forums – would be a good starting point.
Gathering the Data
I started by opening up a few browser tabs and searching around. I jotted down ratings from different sites, trying to get a good mix of sources. It was a bit tedious, honestly, manually copying and pasting everything into a spreadsheet. There were some inconsistencies, too. Some sources rating it 10 and another is rating 8.5, so I started to average them manually
The Analysis
After what felt like forever (probably a couple of hours, in reality), I finally had a decent-sized dataset. Now came the “fun” part: figuring out what it all meant.
- I calculated the average rating for each match. Simple enough.
- Then I looked for any patterns. Were his ratings consistently high? Did they improve over time? Were there any outliers?
My Findings
What I found was pretty interesting. Cody’s match ratings are, on average, really, really good. It’s not just hype – the dude delivers in the ring, at least according to most of the sources I checked. There were a few dips here and there, but overall, his average was consistently high.
I noticed that his more recent matches tended to be rated slightly higher than some of his older ones. Maybe it’s a sign of his growth as a performer, or maybe it’s just that he’s been in more high-profile matches lately. Who knows?
It was a bit of a time-sink, but it was also pretty satisfying to see the numbers confirm what my eyes (and many wrestling fans) have been telling me: Cody Rhodes is a top-tier performer.
