Okay, so I’ve been wanting to create this “Cozy Rose” thing for a while now. It’s basically a scented wax melt, but I wanted it to be, like, extra special. Not just your average rose scent, you know?

First, I gathered all my supplies. I had this soy wax I’d bought a while back, some essential oils (rose, obviously, but also a touch of vanilla and sandalwood – my secret!), and these cute little silicone molds shaped like roses. Oh, and some dried rose petals, because why not?
Melting and Mixing
I melted the soy wax in a double boiler. Seriously, don’t try to microwave it, it’ll be a disaster. Trust me, I learned that the hard way once. I just let the wax slowly get nice and liquidy.
Once the wax was all melted, I took it off the heat and added my essential oils. I went pretty heavy on the rose, but that little bit of vanilla and sandalwood really gives it this warm, cozy feeling. I gave it a good stir to make sure everything was mixed in.
The Pretty Part
This is where the dried rose petals come in. I sprinkled a few into the bottom of each mold. I wanted just a hint of them, not like, a whole garden in there. Just enough to be pretty.
- Make sure your rose essential is enough!
- Remember to add a few drops of vanilla.
- Don’t forget add some sandalwood.
Then, I carefully poured the wax into the molds, making sure not to overfill them. I mean, nobody wants a wax melt explosion, right?
The Waiting Game
Then came the hardest part: waiting. I let the melts cool and harden completely. This took a few hours, so I just, you know, did other stuff. Chores, watched some TV, the usual.
Finally, I carefully popped the melts out of the molds. And they looked amazing! All rosy and pretty, and they smelled even better than I’d hoped. That blend of rose, vanilla, and sandalwood is just… chef’s kiss.

I’ve been using them in my wax warmer, and my whole place smells like a fancy rose garden, but with this extra layer of warmth and coziness. Seriously, I’m obsessed. It’s the perfect scent for, like, a relaxing night in with a good book and a cup of tea. Mission accomplished!
