Okay, so I got curious about tennis players and tattoos the other day. It just popped into my head, maybe I saw a glimpse of ink on someone during a match, I don’t quite remember how it started.

My Little Search Journey
First thing I did, naturally, was just go online. I popped open my browser and typed in something simple, probably like “tennis players with tattoos” or maybe “pro tennis ink”. Just wanted to see what came up.
Got a whole flood of images and articles right away, as you’d expect. Lots of pictures, some lists people had already made. I started clicking through, you know, just scrolling and looking. Some results were junk, just random tattoo pictures, so I had to sift through that.
Pretty quickly, some names started appearing over and over again. Stan Wawrinka was one of the first I saw. I remember seeing his arm tattoo before, the one with the quote. It’s pretty visible when he plays.
Then others started showing up:
- Nick Kyrgios – not surprising, he’s got quite a few, including that big sleeve.
- Karolina Pliskova – I saw pictures showing tattoos on her leg and arm.
- Svetlana Kuznetsova – remembered she had some too, found pics confirming that.
- Gael Monfils – saw some images highlighting his ink.
- Aryna Sabalenka – noticed she has that tiger tattoo which is pretty bold.
- Donna Vekic – saw mentions and photos of her smaller tattoos.
So, I spent a bit of time just looking at the pictures for these players and a few others that popped up, like Borna Coric and Liam Broady. Trying to see what kind of tattoos they were. Some are really out there, big pieces. Others are smaller, more personal maybe, like little symbols or words.
I wasn’t really trying to analyze why they got them or the deep meaning. I was just more interested in confirming, “Okay, who actually has ink in the pro tennis world?” It’s not as common as in, say, basketball or football, I think. Or maybe it’s just less visible with the typical tennis outfits.
Basically, my process was:
- Get curious.
- Do a basic web search.
- Filter out the noise.
- Identify specific players mentioned often.
- Look at images to confirm and see the tattoos.
- Make a mental list of who I found.
It was an interesting little dive. Started with a simple question and ended up finding quite a few examples. Just goes to show, you see these players competing intensely, but there’s obviously personal expression there too, just like anyone else. Anyway, that was my little exploration into tattooed tennis stars.
