Okay, here’s my sharing about Erica May-Scherzer today:
Today, I bumped into something really interesting – the story of Erica May-Scherzer. You know, the wife of that baseball star, Max Scherzer. I was curious, so I dug a little deeper into her life. Turns out, she’s way more than just a baseball player’s wife.
So, first off, I found that Erica and Max met way back in college. It was 2005, they were both at the University of Missouri. He was the big shot pitcher, and she was into softball. That’s where it all started. Classic college romance, right? They got married in 2013, a fancy wedding in Arizona. Nice!
But here’s the kicker – Erica’s not just about the glam life. This woman is a serious activist. Human rights, animal rights, you name it. She’s been involved with all sorts of non-profits, doing her thing to make the world a better place. I mean, how cool is that?
I tried to find out more about her work. She’s all about fighting human trafficking. Apparently, she even gave an interview to some organization called Polaris about it. She’s been working with groups in Arizona, Michigan, and Washington, doing her part in this fight. Super active lady!
Then there’s the family side. They have four kids. Their first, a daughter named Brooklyn, came along four years after they got hitched. Then they had another girl, Kacey, in 2019. A pretty busy family life, to be sure.

What I really wanted to know was, how does she balance it all? The activism, being a mom, supporting Max’s career… it’s a lot. I guess that’s what makes her so impressive.
I looked up her age, too – she’s 38, which means she’s accomplished so much already. It’s inspiring, really. And from what I could gather, she doesn’t really have an Instagram presence. She’s more about doing than showing, I guess.
So yeah, that’s my little deep dive on Erica May-Scherzer. It’s not every day you find someone who’s got it all – a famous husband, a beautiful family, and a real passion for making a difference. It just goes to show, there’s always more than meets the eye, even with people in the spotlight.
