Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into MLB The Show 24 lately, and one thing I really wanted to mess around with was the minor league stadiums. I’m a huge fan of the quirky, unique ballparks you find in the minors, and I wanted to see how they looked and felt in the game.

First, I jumped into a regular “Play Now” game. I picked a couple of random Triple-A teams, just to get a feel for what was available straight out of the box. I noticed some familiar parks, ones I’d actually been to in real life, which was pretty cool. The detail was surprisingly good – the way the sun hit the field, the little ads on the outfield walls, it all felt pretty authentic.
Then, I decided to get a little more specific. I went into the “Franchise” mode, because that’s where you really get to manage a team and its affiliates. I selected a team and checked out their minor league system. I wanted to see if the game accurately matched up the real-life affiliates with their correct stadiums. For the most part, it did! There were a couple of instances where I think they might have used a generic stadium instead of the actual one, but it wasn’t a huge deal.
Stadium Creator
The real fun started when I discovered the Stadium Creator. Oh boy, this is where things get interesting. I had heard people were making retro and all kinds of things with the stadium creator. I found that my options were only limited to my own mind and ideas.
- Building My Own Park: I spent a good chunk of time just messing around with the different options. I could even change small details, so that was cool.
- Downloading Other People’s Creations: So this will only work with next gen consoles, I learned that the hard way. I figured out how to download other user-created stadiums, which was a game-changer.
Honestly, I spent way more time than I expected just playing around with the minor league stadiums in MLB The Show 24. It’s a small detail, but it adds so much to the overall experience, especially for someone like me who appreciates the unique atmosphere of minor league baseball. I might have to do some more research, though, to figure out where to find the best creations.
