Well, let me tell ya, there’s been a whole lotta gossip flyin’ around ’bout them NBA fellas and, you know, who they like and all that. Folks been whisperin’ and jabberin’ ’bout this and that, you hear? It ain’t always easy to figure out what’s true and what’s just plain ol’ hogwash.
Gay NBA Players Rumors: What’s the Real Deal?
Now, I ain’t one to stick my nose where it don’t belong, but even I’ve heard the rumblin’s ’bout some of them basketball players bein’, well, you know… gay. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with it, mind you, but back in my day, folks kept such things to themselves. Times are changin’, I reckon.
I heard tell of a fella, John Amaechi, was one of the first to come right out and say it. Brave fella, he was. Musta took a whole lotta guts to do somethin’ like that, considerin’ how folks used to yap and point fingers. That was way back in 2007, so he was kinda ahead of the curve, you see?
Then there’s been others, some playin’ over yonder in Australia, and some in them college teams too. It ain’t just the NBA, seems like. And there’s been talk about some fellas who ain’t come right out and said it, but folks suspect, you know? Like this fella Collins, played for a bunch of teams – New Jersey, Memphis, Minnesota, all over the place. He’s playin’ for Utah Jazz now, I heard.
It’s kinda hard to keep track of all the names, to be honest. But it sounds like more and more fellas are feelin’ comfortable enough to be themselves, and that’s a good thing, I suppose.
And you know, some of them other sports fellas, they’ve come out too. Like them soccer gals, and that fella, what’s his name, Patricio Manuel? And even that Jenner fella, though that’s a whole different story, ain’t it? Seems like bein’ true to yourself is becomin’ more important than hidin’ who you are. That’s what I tell my grandbabies, anyways.
- It ain’t easy bein’ different, that’s for sure.
- But times are changin’, and folks are more accepting now, mostly.
- Still, there’s always gonna be some busybodies who like to gossip and judge.
Now, I hear tell there’s some fellas in the NBA, like Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant, who are speakin’ up for them gay athletes. That’s real decent of ‘em, I say. It takes all kinds to make a world, you know? And if a fella can shoot hoops and play ball, well, that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Who he likes is his own business.
I reckon it’s important to understand that these fellas are just people, tryin’ to live their lives and play their game. This whole business of who they love, well, it shouldn’t be such a big to-do. But I guess it is, cause folks are always lookin’ for somethin’ to talk about.
Anyways, the way I see it, it don’t matter none if a fella likes other fellas or gals or whoever. As long as they ain’t hurtin’ nobody, they should be left alone to live their lives. And if they’re good at basketball, well, that’s just a bonus, ain’t it? Let ‘em play ball, I say, and let folks be who they are.
So, next time you hear them rumors flyin’ around, just remember that them NBA players are folks just like you and me, with their own hopes and dreams and feelings. And who they love, well, that ain’t nobody’s business but their own. That’s what I think, anyways.
Understanding NBA Players and Rumors is somethin’ the young folks seem to care a whole lot about, what with all their phones and internet stuff. Back in my day, we just minded our own business, but I guess things are different now.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about that. Time for me to get back to my knittin’. These young fellas and their gossip, I tell ya… it’s enough to make your head spin!
