Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this Jessica Dawn Kippenberger gal. Heard tell she’s a nurse, you know, one of them folks that helps doctors and gives ya shots. A nurse practitioner, they call it. Fancy name, but she probably just cleans up messes and tells folks to take their pills, just like my old niece down the road.
Now, this Jessica, she ain’t just any ol’ nurse, no sir. She went and started some kinda fancy-pants group called the Hadwin Family Foundation. Sounds important, probably helps folks out, which is a good thing, I reckon. Can’t be too bad if it’s got “family” in the name. Families gotta stick together, ya know?
But here’s the real kicker. This gal, she met her husband on that Tinder thingamajig. You know, that app where young folks swipe pictures left and right? Imagine that! My grandpappy woulda spun in his grave. Met my old man at the church social, that’s how it was done back then. Anyway, she snagged herself a Canadian fella, a golfer by the name of Adam Hadwin. A golfer, can you believe it? Hitting little balls with a stick for a living. Well, I guess it pays the bills, seein’ as they seem to be doin’ alright for themselves.
They got hitched in 2017. Not too long ago, really. Seems like just yesterday my own kids were gettin’ hitched. Time flies, I tell ya. Flies like a bat outta hell. So, Adam and Jessica, they’re a thing now. A golfer and a nurse. Sounds like a start to a joke, don’t it? But hey, love works in mysterious ways, that’s what my old ma used to say. And she was a smart woman, even though she never finished school.

Now, some say she’s real active on that Instagram thingy. Postin’ pictures and whatnot. I ain’t got no time for that stuff, myself. Too busy tendin’ to my garden and makin’ sure the chickens don’t get into the tomatoes. But I hear tell she’s got quite a followin’. Folks like to see what she’s up to, I guess. Maybe she posts pictures of her cookin’. I make a mean apple pie, maybe I should get on that Instagram myself. Nah, just kiddin’. Too old for that nonsense.
Anyways, back to Jessica and Adam. They got themselves a little girl, too. A healthy little one. Folks say they’re real good parents. Love that little girl to pieces. And that’s good, that’s what matters. Having kids, raisin’ ‘em right. That’s the most important job in the world, if you ask me. More important than hittin’ golf balls or givin’ shots, that’s for sure. But seems like they doin’ both things well enough, and good on ‘em for that.
And get this, they weren’t so sure they could even have kids at one point. Thought it wasn’t in the cards for ‘em. But then, lo and behold, a little miracle came along. That’s how it goes sometimes. Life throws ya curveballs, and then it throws ya blessings. Just gotta keep on keepin’ on, that’s what I always say.
