Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into this whole UFC 4 thing, especially the cross-platform play, or the lack of it. I mean, I’ve been itching to duke it out with my buddies on different consoles, but it’s been a bit of a headache figuring out what’s what.
First off, I fired up my console and started digging around to see if I could get into some cross-platform action with UFC 4. I mean, it’s 2024, right? You’d think this would be a no-brainer. But nope, after messing around in the menus and trying to invite friends from other platforms, I hit a brick wall. No dice.
So then I started scouring the internet, looking for any shred of hope. I found some forum posts and articles, most of them were pretty recent, from May to December of 2024, talking about how UFC 4 just doesn’t support cross-platform play. Some folks were talking about how other games have it, but not this one. Talk about a letdown!
I mean, the general consensus seems to be that cross-platform stuff is easier on PC, because of all those standard communication protocols and whatnot. But between Xbox and PlayStation? It’s a whole different ball game. There are a few games that let you do it, but it’s not many. And UFC 4 isn’t one of them, which is a real bummer.
I did find out that if you’re on the same console family, like, different versions of PlayStation or Xbox, you’re good. But that’s not what I was after. I wanted to challenge my friends on different consoles, you know? Like, I’m on PlayStation and they’re on Xbox. But nope, it’s like we’re stuck in our own little worlds.
So after all this digging and experimenting, I’ve come to the sad conclusion that UFC 4 and cross-platform play just don’t mix. It’s a shame, really. I was really hoping to mix it up with a wider range of players. But for now, it looks like I’ll just have to stick to battling it out with folks on the same console as me. Bummer, right?
